“Everybody I know has someone in their life that is either battling or has lost their battle to some form of cancer or, worse, is fighting it themselves, “ says Ande Bewley, director of this summer’s events. “The family members are battling along with them. This show and the songs we sing are a display of support and unity to let them know they are not alone. We are, ultimately, all in this together.”
The OneNightOnly Band performs covers of hits from a diverse list of artists including Gladys Knight, Billy Joel, the Beatles, the Doobie Brothers, the Traveling Wilburys, Tyrone Wells, and more. Theatre Arlington and the Fort Worth Star Telegram are sponsoring the event, June 5th and 6th at 8:00 pm both nights.
This will be the 5th concert in four years of the event - which raises money for the American Cancer Society through the sale of tickets as well as a silent auction.
More than $21,000 has been raised to date.
The Band - made up of talented professionals and amateurs from the Dallas/Fort Worth area - donates countless hours of rehearsal in putting together a fun night of great music suitable for the entire family.
