Tickets for American Cancer Society Event

Tickets for American Cancer Society Event to go on Sale Friday, April 27, 2007.


Dallas, Texas, April 24, 2007 – Tickets for Train in the Distance II - A Concert for Cancer Research will go on sale Friday, April 27th. The event, now in its second year, is a family-friendly live music event featuring covers of artists such as Paul Simon, Billy Joel, Fleetwood Mac, Elton John, and Aretha Franklin.

 

Tickets can be purchased with a major credit card by calling 214-405-5413. Suggested minimum donation per ticket is $15.

The event will feature local musicians assembled specifically for this concert event. In addition to the performance, there will be a separate silent auction each night featuring original artwork, gift certificates from Dallas/Fort Worth restaurants, entertainment memorabilia, and other unique items. All net proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society. Donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

 

Train in the Distance II will be held June 1st and 2nd at the Campus Theatre (on the square) in Denton, Texas. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. The silent auction begins at 6:30 p.m.


Train in the Distance – Train in the Distance is an annual American Cancer Society concert event founded by local amateur actor and cancer survivor, Scott Wood. The concert event is a professional-quality; family-oriented live show that not only raises funds for the ACS, but also promotes awareness of the need for continued cancer research.
