About UsTrain in the Distance is a family-friendly pop music concert organized to raise money for the American Cancer Society.
Now in its second year, the concert is performed by the OneNightOnly Band - a group of actors and musicians from around the Dallas / Fort Worth area.
Train in the Distance - a metaphor for a cure on the way - was founded by local amateur actor Scott Wood during his treatment for Hodgkin's Lymphoma in early 2006. With the help of good friend and Auction Coordinator Emilie Buske (as well as the tireless efforts of band members, local theatre organizations, family and friends) the 2006 event raised more than $5,000 for Cancer Research.
In 2007, the 3 Train concerts and auction raised over $11,300!
In 2008, our first concert, Train Lite (in Arlington) raised over $3200.
We hope that you will be a part of this worthwhile cause and fun event on August 15th and 16th, 2008. |
